One of the Secrets of Success

It was Benjamin Disraeli that once said

“The secret of success in life is for a man to be ready for his opportunity when it comes.”

In another way, success is when preparation meets opportunity.

The Holy Bible further makes it clear in Ecclesiastes 9:11 where it says

“Again I looked throughout the earth and saw that the swiftest person does not always win the race, nor the strongest man the battle, and that wise men are often poor, and the skillful men are not necessarily famous; but it is all by chance, by happening to be at the right place the right time.”

From all indications, life is not by mere chance or luck but by choice, i.e the decision to prepare for your own success and being at the right place when your own opportunity knocks.

Conclusively, my question for you is, how prepared are you for the level of success you desire?

If the opportunity for such success comes your way, will you grab it based on your present level of preparation or watch it sneak away into another man’s hand?

Start with What You Have

This is Jim Thorpe. Look closely at the photo, you can see that he’s wearing different socks and shoes. This wasn’t a fashion statement. It was the 1912 Olympics, and Jim, a Native American and Roman Catholic from Oklahoma represented the U.S. in track and field.

On the morning of his competitions, his shoes were stolen. Luckily, Jim ended up finding two shoes in a garbage can. That’s the pair that he’s wearing in the photo. But one of the shoes was too big, so he had to wear an extra sock. Wearing these shoes, Jim won two gold medals that day.

This is a perfect reminder that you don’t have to resign to the excuses that have held you back. So what if life hasn’t been fair? What are you going to do about it today?

Whatever you woke up with this morning; stolen shoes, ill health, failed relationships, failed business, don’t let it stop you from running your race. You can experience more in life if you’ll get over the excuses and get on with living. You can have reasons or you can have results…but you can’t have both.

You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you!

No excuses.

DIVINE TIME ZONES-an inspiration from a friend

Have you Noticed THAT...

1. Kenya is 2hours ahead of Nigeria, & 3hours ahead of UK! it doesn’t mean that Nigeria or UK is slow & it doesn’t mean that Kenya is faster than Nigeria Or UK! All Countries are working based on “Time Zone”.

2. There’s one that married as a virgin & ‘waited’ 10yrs before having a child yet there is another who had series of abortion before marriage yet gave birth after 9months?

3. There is one that graduated at 22 yet waited 5yrs before securing a job, yet there is another who graduated at 30 & secured employment immediately?

4. There is one who became a CEO at 25yrs & died at 50, there is another who became a CEO 50 & lives to be 90?

Both worked based on ‘Time Zone’ & some just happen to have everything work fast for them. Work based on your ‘lane’.

5. Colleagues, Friends, Associate, younger one(s) might have gone ahead of you don’t envy them, it’s their ‘Time Zone’ yours too will come. Just hold on & be strong, it won’t be long everything is gonna be alright.

And don’t forget this that;

“God’s time is the best.”

Which wolf will win?-A Cherokee Indian Legend!

An elder Cherokee Native American was teaching his grandchildren about life.

_There is a battle of two wolves inside us all_ still more ___

He said to them, ‘A fight is going on inside me . . . it is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.

One wolf represents fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other stands for joy, peace, love, hope, sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.

This same fight is going on inside you, and inside every other person, too.’

They thought about it for a minute and then one child asked his grandfather, ‘Which wolf will win?’

There is a battle of two wolves inside us_ One is evil_ It ___

The old Cherokee simply replied . . . ‘The one you feed.’
If you usually feed the second wolf-if you are optimistic despite your fear and you are willing to take risk until you succeed, I have a business opportunity for you. Check it out on my business blog here.

MOTIVATIONAL STORY FOR THE WEEK

How To Overcome: The Classic Carrot, Egg, and Bean Coffee Story!

You may never look at a cup of coffee the same way after reading this story again!

A young woman told her mother how difficult things were for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and felt like giving up. Her mother took her to the kitchen and filled three pots with water. Soon the water started boiling. In the first pot, she placed carrots. In the second, she put eggs. And in the third, she placed coffee beans. She let them sit and boil. In about twenty minutes, she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them on a plate. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a mug. Turning to her daughter, she asked, “What do you see?”

Grandma Teaches A Lesson With Carrot, Egg And Coffee

“Carrots, eggs, and coffee,” her daughter replied. Her mother handed her some carrots. They were soft. The mother then asked the daughter to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed that the egg was now hard boiled. Then the mother asked the daughter to sip the coffee. The daughter smiled as she tasted its rich aroma.

MORAL LESSON: Then the daughter asked, “What does all this mean?” Her mother said that each of these had faced the same adversity—boiling water. But each reacted differently. “Which of them are you?” she asked her daughter. “When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?

Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength?

Am I the egg that starts with an open heart, but changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a break-up, a financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff?

Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water — the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you. When the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest, do you elevate yourself to another level?

How do you handle adversity? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?

Meaning of life - Are you egg or carrot or coffee bean

If you act are like the coffee bean, then we can work together. I have a business opportunity for you. Check it out on my business blog.

DO YOU CARE FOR THE NEEDY?

20645200519

“God’s definition of riches isn’t in what you own but how you meet the need of others.”_Bro. Precious Enuoma
When we talk about needs, the first thing that comes to people’s minds is money. That’s not entirely true. This morning, I’ll like to call our minds to something often overlooked. That is, sharing your TIME with someone who needs it. Financial needs can be met with money, however, money is a refundable resource. 60 Seconds given to someone else today from your 24 hours can never be returned to you.
It means you’ve given the person a gift they can never pay u back for. What am I driving at?
How are you? Such a simple question but carries heavy meaning. When I ask people that question, it’s not a greeting. That is me actually showing genuine interest in their well-being. You’ll be surprised at the number of people who need that little show of love and care. Your 60-second show of affection could be the reason that person develops the strength to remain hopeful regardless of the challenges.

We can start by not rushing home immediately ‘the Grace’ is shared in our respevtive churches. Say hello to someone with a radiant smile on your face. You may not have money in your pocket to dole out but you have 60 seconds to show love to somebody. The very nature of God isn’t in your lifting up holy hands to worship. His very nature is displayed when you show love.
And remember, “no one cares how much you know until they know how much you care.”_Theodore Roosevelt
Have a great week demonstrating the love of God through the gift of your TIME. You are blessed and highly favoured. Selah
